Akya looks to future of dynamically reconfigurable logic with EML
Akya Limited, the dynamically reconfigurable logic company,
has engaged with EML PR to promote its first public reconfigurable
product offering, ART2 with an international campaign.
Akya’s concept of the Application Area Specific Integrated
Circuit (AASIC) is all its own. Where most reconfigurable logic
companies have attempted to make a largely general-purpose
reconfigurable device, Akya sees a gap in the market for ASIC
and ASSP-like processors that are only as reconfigurable as
you need them to be. This has huge potential in application
areas such as portable music players and video playback devices.
EML is running a campaign to communicate the benefits of Akya’s
technology to electronics designers in UK, Europe and the USA.
Together Akya and EML launched Akya’s first product, ART2,
in May 2009. The launch has been a resounding success. ART2
has already seen significant coverage across such core titles
as New Electronics, EDN, FPGA Journal, EE Times and Engineering
and Technology.
Akya and EML’s ongoing brief is to expand upon its successful
initial PR push with follow-up activity in order to maintain
the strong momentum it has built up in the market.
The feedback from the client has been highly positive. "I
have been very pleased with all the coverage we've received
so far”, said Colin Dente, CEO of Akya Limited. “Many thanks
for your sterling efforts!"
