picoChip selects EML for global PR campaign

Femtocell chip specialist picoChip has selected EML to run its global PR campaign. Based in Bath, UK, picoChip has retained EML to deliver its B2B product and corporate campaigns. The agency won the account after a four way pitch.

As a leader in signal processing chips and systems for wireless communications, picoChip has a growing global presence. Its technology is used by more than a hundred network operators, including eight of the world’s top ten. The company has been listed amongst the most exciting technology firms by industry experts and analysts such as Frost and Sullivan, Deloitte, Red Herring, Light Reading and Ernst & Young.

EML is to run picoChip’s worldwide campaign direct from its offices in the UK, where the team will be led by EML Director, David Marsden. picoChip will capitalise on EML’s experience in building clients’ reputations in Asia and the US. The new appointment further strengthens EML's extensive wireless technology portfolio, which includes some of the brightest stars in the UK technology sector.

EML's clients in the Cambridge area include technology leaders such as Cambridge Consultants, CSR, Plextek, TTP, Zinwave and Cyan.

“EML has an impressive track record with clients in our area and also with our target media,” said Andy Gothard, director of corporate marketing at picoChip. He continued: “They pitched a strong and imaginative campaign focused on building upon our leading position in the market. I’m certain that the enthusiasm and commitment of the team will turn those ideas into outstanding and tangible results.”
