EML pushes solar record
At the start of July EML was signed by new UK solar developer QuantaSol for an ongoing PR campaign spanning the UK, US and Europe.
Kicking off with a new world record announcement the campaign will raise QuantaSol's profile in solar technology, semiconductor and business press worldwide. Social networking media plays a significant role in the campaign, and initial results are very promising with massive online pick-up and significant Twitter traffic from a standing start.
QuantaSol CEO Kevin Arthur reported immediate interest from the market and potential partners. "We have a great product, perfectly timed but I was really impressed with just how quickly everything's taken off."
Kingston-based QuantaSol has built the world's most efficient single-junction concentrator solar cell for use by terrestrial solar energy utility installations and now plans to build tandem and triple junction world record breakers.
