Wolfson selects EML for global PR campaign
Wolfson Microelectronics plc, a leading global technology company, has retained the services of EML to act as a lead agency. EML will manage a worldwide agency network, whilst acting as the primary agency in Europe, with a campaign focused on building upon Wolfson's international profile as the company moves to the next stage of development.
As a leader in the supply of high performance mixed-signal semiconductors, Wolfson is renowned internationally for their high performance audio and ultra low power consumption solutions. The company delivers the audio and imaging technology at the heart of some of the world's most successful digital consumer goods.
The recent move to EML underlines Wolfson's strategy to continue to grow its position as a global force in the mixed-signal semiconductor market. EML will advise Wolfson on all aspects of its worldwide PR strategy, whilst also managing and implementing campaigns in the UK, Scandinavia, France and Germany. In addition, EML will lead independently selected agencies in the U.S, China, South Korea and Japan.
Wolfson will capitalise on EML's existing expertise in the Asia and US technology markets, as well as its 20 years of experience in European technology PR.
Speaking on the new brief, Julian Hayes, VP of Marketing and Applications at Wolfson commented, "EML has a strong record in strategic campaigns and a reputation for being technically literate. The team selected a bespoke network of agencies which suited our specific requirements, rather than persuading us to use an existing network which may not have been as tailored to our needs. In our opinion, this really gave them the edge".
The new appointment further strengthens EML's prolific electronics portfolio, which includes some of the brightest stars in the UK technology sector.
Managing Director of EML, Richard Parker, commented, "Wolfson's success is a source of genuine inspiration for the UK technology industry. Wolfson has a terrific reputation for creating innovative technology which enables exciting new experiences for users of digital consumer electronics and we're focused on reinforcing that message to the global tech community."
EML Director, David Marsden, heads up the team with agencies J-Spin Communications, Precision Communications and New Synergy enlisted overseas.
